To enable the achievement of the strategic plan, a new structure of three multidisciplinary colleges has been developed to enhance collaborative working and innovation, and to strengthen coherence across the institution.
A new college director is sought for each cluster to provide oversight and leadership and seize development opportunities.
A college will include East Asian languages and cultures; History, religions and philosophies; Languages, Cultures and Linguistics; Arts. The second will bring together Development Studies; Economy; Finance and Management and the third, Anthropology & Sociology; Law (with Gender and Media); Politics and International Studies.
The Heads of Quorum will be full members of the leadership team, reporting to the Deputy Principal and Provost). They will provide academic leadership to boost the performance of their college, encouraging innovation and creativity in research and teaching. Nominees will work with their colleagues from each college to finalize a college name for the consolidation.
Ideal candidates will have leadership and management experience in relevant disciplinary areas and have strong research credentials themselves. A commitment to innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to high quality research and program development will be essential. The support, development and guidance of other staff are key elements of this role, along with strong academic leadership and the ability to make a direct contribution to research, teaching and leadership at the within college programs.
