The field of healthcare has undergone a radical change over the past decade. Students pursuing a degree in healthcare management should therefore be properly upgraded. In this scenario, the AdtU Department of Management inaugurated the new and improved MBA program in large-scale healthcare management last Tuesday.
This enhanced program will provide much-needed inputs and a comprehensive learning environment with the latest changes and advancements in this field. The improved course structure will provide theoretical and practical training to prepare students for various support services in the health sector and develop conceptual skills for planning, policy formulation, resource utilization, material management and legal issues.
Guest of honor for the occasion was the Honorable Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Science and Technology and Information Technology, Government. of Assam – Shri Keshab Mahanta. Other guests of honor were Mission Director, National Health Mision (NHM), Assam – Dr MS Lakshmi Priya, IAS; and Chief Superintendent and Chief Superintendent, GMCH – Prof. (Dr.) Achyut Ch. Baishya.
The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. N. N Dutta, Chancellor, AdtU, Dr. N. C Talukdar, Vice Chancellor, AdtU, Dr. Udayan Barua, Medical Superintendent, City Center Hospital; Dr. Seema Sharma, Dean of Management, AdtU, and faculty and administrative officers from various departments of the University.
